With a team of twelve for varsity and only ten for junior varsity the Diamondbacks set out give the grizzly bears from Spring Valley a run for their money. "Who needs substitutes when you have brand new beautiful uniforms?" was the thought running through the players minds.
In both games there was noticable improvements in communication and ball control. Both Coach Cress and Coach Matthews counted several quality passing combinations which led to Desert Oasis moving deep into grizzly territory.
Injuries have put a strain on the two squads and there are serious doubts as the the ability to have enough players for the Western game on Saturday.
Whatever the result the team is confident that both teams will rebound in the weeks to come.
The only disappointment from the thursday match was that only one shirt was sold
